Delivery & Returns Information

CUSTOMS CHARGES / VAT are the customer / receivers responsibility to pay.  Any parcels returned to us will incur a cost to resend the package or if a refund is issued it will be minus the original postal costs.  Tracking information is sent via email on dispatch please check your Junk inbox if you have not received this email or contact us via email. 




Items purchased online from Mariposa Children's Boutique can be returned for a refund or exchange within 14 days, provided they are returned in the original condition with tags attached. This does not apply to items purchased via the payment plan scheme.  For exchanges we recommend you place a new order online to ensure your size does not sell out and when we receive your return a refund will be issued. Due to Covid your parcel may be signed for by the postal worker, it is your responsibility to ensure you are home to take receipt of your parcel. Please provide email / mobile number and tracking information will be sent to you. 


Sale items, Pre-Orders and Made to Order items are non refundable or exchangeable.


The cost of returning the item is to be covered by the customer. We advise you use Recorded Delivery, as refunds will not be issued for any items that fail to reach us.  


Refunds are processed within 7 working days from when the goods are received - refunded back to the original purchase method minus the original postage costs. Delivery charges are non-refundable except where an item is faulty. In the case of a faulty item, the cost of returning the item to us will also be refunded.  Postage cost will not be refunded to customer only the cost of the item purchased. 


In addition to this returns policy, under the UK’s distance selling regulations, you have the right to cancel the purchase contract within 7 days. Your statutory rights are not affected.




UK Orders:

  • Standard Delivery £5.95 1st Class Recorded Delivery or £4.95 2nd Class.  We aim to dispatch all parcels within 48hrs although most are dispatched on the same day ( Monday to Friday ).  
  • Next Day Delivery is £8.99 and available Monday to Thursday before 3pm  ( excludes public holidays ).
  • Saturday Next Day Delivery is £15 on orders processed before 3pm  ( excludes public holidays ).
  • Any items that are PRE-ORDER you order will be dispatched in full once all the items on the order have arrived in-stock. If you order in-stock and pre-order on the same order they will be dispatched in one parcel unless two shipping costs are paid.

Mariposa Children's Boutique is NOT responsible for lost parcels that are sent to an incorrect delivery address or a business / work address.  Please ensure that all delivery details are correct including house numbers.  If your parcel is returned to us then you will need to pay for postage again so it can be resent. 

We offer free UK P&P over £65 if you return items taking your order value below the free delivery threshold the refund issued will be with the postage costs deducted from the total. 



International / European Orders:


All International Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail International Signed For Delivery and are priced as follows: 

Europe & Ireland  - £19.99 per order

Rest of the World - Prices vary depending on order size, starting from £29.99.   We aim to use the fastest service but delivery times can vary due to customs entering the country of delivery. We have no control over customs and the time they take to clear packages.   If your package goes over the maximum weight we will contact you to confirm full shipping costs prior to posting.   If you require Express Shipping please email us at for a shipping quote. 

Please note that all International parcels are subject to your own Countries Duty & VAT.  This will be calculated by your Country and will be payable on delivery by the buyer / recipient.  We are NOT responsible for any charges that may or may not occur from Customs / VAT. 


All parcels require a signature on arrival. If you are not at home the parcel is left at the Post Office for your collection, the Postman should leave a card through the door to inform you. If the parcel is not collected by a certain date it is returned to us, in this situation we do not refund the shipping charge and we charge to resend the parcel. You will receive an email confirmation once your parcel has been dispatched. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the address is correct and completed in full. 


We aim to dispatch items within 2 days although most parcels are sent the same day (Monday to Friday).

We expect most European parcels to take around 3-5 days, Rest of World around 5-21 days.  Tracking information will be sent to you once dispatched so please use the tracking information on the courier website for updates.    PLEASE NOTE that at this present moment in time there are many delays with transport issues worldwide.   Some countries can take longer to clear packages through customs and to deliver them to your address.  We have no control once the package leaves us in the UK as to how quickly it will arrive for International orders.  We can only apologise for any delays and hope this disruption is kept to a minimum.  Tracking information is provided once your package has been dispatched so we would ask that you check regularly for updates.
