Delivery, Returns, Refunds & Cancellation Policy

At Mariposa Children's Boutique, we are committed to providing exceptional customer service and beautifully curated Spanish and European children's wear. Please read the following information carefully before placing your order.


UK Delivery

Standard UK Delivery

  • Standard UK Delivery (Royal Mail Tracked 48): £4.95

  • Next Day Delivery: From £8.99 (available Monday to Thursday on orders placed before 2:00pm)

  • FREE UK Delivery on all orders over £85

Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 working days, unless otherwise stated on the product page. During busy periods, dispatch times may take slightly longer.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking details where applicable.

Made to Order / Pre-Order items see item description for delivery time-frames which generally can be approximately 6-8 weeks. 


International Delivery

We proudly ship worldwide.

International delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on your destination and parcel weight.

Customers are responsible for any customs duties, import taxes, VAT, handling fees or other charges imposed by their country's customs authorities.

EU Orders

From July 2026, EU orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and handling charges regardless of the order value.

These charges are the responsibility of the customer and are non-refundable.

If you are unsure whether charges may apply, we recommend contacting your local customs authority before placing your order.


Pre-Order & Made-to-Order Items

Some collections are available on a pre-order or made-to-order basis.

Estimated delivery dates shown on product pages are provided as guides only and may occasionally vary due to supplier production schedules.

Made-to-Order Items

Made-to-order items are specially produced for your order.

Once production has commenced, these items cannot be cancelled, returned or refunded unless they are:

  • Faulty

  • Not as described

  • Or where your statutory consumer rights apply

This includes many of our exclusive AW26 collections where clearly stated on the product page.

Pre-Order Items

Pre-order items are reserved in advance before they arrive with us.

Unless otherwise stated on the product page, pre-order items are covered by the same returns and cancellation rights as our standard products once they have been delivered.


Returns & Refunds

We hope you love every purchase from Mariposa Children's Boutique.

If you are not completely satisfied, eligible items may be returned within 14 days of receiving your order.

To qualify for a return, items must be:

  • Unworn and unused

  • In their original condition

  • Complete with all original tags attached

  • Returned in their original packaging where possible

We cannot accept returns that have been worn, washed, damaged or altered, or that carry perfume, smoke, pet hair or any other signs of use that prevent the item from being resold.

Returns that do not meet these conditions may be refused and returned to the customer.


Clearance Sale Items

Our Clearance Sale contains heavily reduced end-of-line, discontinued and last-chance items.

If you need a different size or an alternative product, we are happy to offer an exchange where stock is available.

If an exchange is unavailable and you are entitled to a refund under your statutory consumer rights, this will be processed to your original payment method.

As many Clearance Sale products are available in limited quantities, exchanges cannot be guaranteed.


Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned unless they are faulty, not as described or your statutory rights provide otherwise:

  • Made-to-order items produced specifically for your order

  • Personalised items / PRE-ORDER Items


How to Return an Item

Please contact us before returning your order so we can provide return instructions.

Unless an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, customers are responsible for return postage costs.

We strongly recommend using a tracked or signed-for postal service, as we cannot accept responsibility for items lost during return transit.

Customers wishing to collect an order or view stock may do so strictly by prior appointment.


Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, approved refunds will be processed within 7 working days.

Refunds will always be made to the original payment method used to place the order.

Original delivery charges will only be refunded where required by law or where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described.


Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We carefully inspect every order before dispatch.

If your order arrives faulty, damaged or incorrect, please contact us as soon as possible with photographs where appropriate.

Where a product is confirmed as faulty or incorrect, we will offer the most appropriate remedy in accordance with UK consumer law. This may include:

  • Repair

  • Replacement

  • Exchange

  • Refund

Reasonable return postage costs will also be reimbursed where applicable.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.


Order Cancellations

UK Customers

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, customers purchasing online generally have the right to cancel eligible purchases within 14 days of receiving their goods.

International Customers

Customers outside the UK may have additional rights under the consumer protection laws of their own country.


Exceptions to Cancellation Rights

Cancellation rights may not apply to:

  • Made-to-order goods / PRE-ORDER Items

  • Personalised products

These exceptions are permitted under applicable consumer protection legislation.

Nothing within this policy limits or affects your statutory consumer rights.
