Delivery & Returns Information

At Mariposa Children’s Boutique, we aim to provide a smooth, reliable and helpful shopping experience. Please read our delivery and returns information carefully before placing your order.

UK Delivery

We aim to dispatch all UK orders within 2 working days, although most parcels are dispatched sooner where possible. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only, excluding bank holidays.

• Standard Delivery: £4.95 – 2nd Class Recorded Delivery
• 1st Class Recorded Delivery: £5.95
• Next Day Delivery: £8.99 – available Monday to Thursday before 3pm, excluding bank holidays
• Free UK Delivery: Available on orders over £100

Please ensure your delivery address is entered correctly at checkout, including house number, postcode and any business or workplace details where applicable. Customers are responsible for ensuring all delivery information is complete and accurate.

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, failed delivery attempt, or non-collection, the customer will be responsible for any additional postage costs to resend the order.

Pre-Orders & Made to Order Items

If your order contains a pre-order or made-to-order item, your full order will be dispatched once all items have arrived in stock and are ready to send.

If you would like in-stock items sent separately from pre-order or made-to-order items, please place separate orders or contact us, as an additional delivery charge may apply.

Pre-order and made-to-order items are specially reserved or produced for you and are therefore non-refundable and non-exchangeable unless faulty.

International Delivery

We ship worldwide. International orders are dispatched using a tracked or signed-for delivery service where available.

• Europe & Ireland: £19.99 per order
• Rest of the World: Prices vary depending on order size and weight, starting from £29.99

If your parcel exceeds the maximum weight or size for the selected service, we will contact you before dispatch to confirm any additional shipping cost.

Estimated delivery times are usually around 3–5 working days for Europe and 5–21 working days for the rest of the world. Delivery times can vary depending on the destination country, customs clearance and local postal services.

Once your parcel has left us in the UK, international delivery times are outside of our control. Tracking information will be sent by email once your order has been dispatched.

Customs, Duties & VAT

International orders may be subject to customs charges, import duty, taxes or VAT in the destination country. These charges are set by the receiving country and are the responsibility of the customer or recipient.

Mariposa Children’s Boutique is not responsible for any customs, duty, VAT or import charges that may apply. If a parcel is returned to us due to unpaid customs charges, refused delivery or non-collection, the original postage cost will not be refunded and any return costs may be deducted from the refund.

Returns Policy

Items purchased online from Mariposa Children’s Boutique can be returned for a refund or exchange, provided they are returned in their original condition, unworn, unused, with tags attached and in the original packaging where applicable.

Please notify us within 14 days of receiving your order if you wish to cancel or return your item. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.

Returns must be sent back at the customer’s own cost unless the item is faulty. We strongly recommend using a tracked or recorded delivery service, as we cannot issue refunds for returned parcels that do not reach us.

Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following items are non-refundable unless faulty:

• Pre-order items
• Made-to-order items
• Payment plan items
• Items returned worn, marked, damaged, washed, altered or without tags attached

Sale & Clearance Items

Sale and clearance items can be returned for store credit or exchange only unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.  Return within 14 days.

Exchanges

If you require a different size or style, we recommend placing a new order online as soon as possible to secure the item before it sells out.

Once we receive and approve your returned item, we will issue a refund back to your original payment method.

Refunds

Refunds are usually processed within 7 working days of us receiving and checking your returned item.

Refunds will be made back to the original payment method. Original delivery charges are non-refundable unless the item is faulty.

If you qualified for free UK delivery and your returned items take your final order value below the free delivery threshold, the original delivery charge may be deducted from your refund.

If an item is faulty, please contact us by email before returning it. Where an item is confirmed as faulty, we will refund the item cost and reasonable return postage.

Order Cancellations, Stock & Pricing Errors

At Mariposa Children’s Boutique, we do our best to keep all prices, product details and stock information accurate. However, on rare occasions, an item may become unavailable or a pricing error may occur.

In these circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel your order before dispatch. If this happens, we will contact you as soon as possible and issue a full refund.

Returned or Uncollected Parcels

All tracked or signed-for parcels may require a signature on delivery. If you are not available to receive your parcel, the courier or postal service may leave a delivery card or provide collection instructions.

It is the customer’s responsibility to collect or rearrange delivery within the courier’s stated timeframe. If a parcel is returned to us because it was not collected, refused, or the address was incorrect, the original delivery charge will not be refunded and a further postage charge will apply if you would like the parcel resent.
